Moving on with the computer course on how to use Excel the next computer lesson is about working with sparklines in Excel 2010. Sometimes, when data is complicated, we need to create charts that fit into a single excel cell to make our excel spreadsheet easier to understand, these charts are called sparklines. This computer lesson made by gcflearnfree.org shows how to work with sparklines. The commands for sparklines may be found through the insert tab where there is a group of commands for sparklines for line, column or win/loss. This example shows a large sales force and by using a sparkline at the end of each line we can see the trend of each salesperson. The computer lesson goes on to show how the sparkline can be made easier to read and changed to a different type of sparkline as desired.
The lesson is suitable for anyone following the course how to use excel but you will need an understanding of excel.
